rainbows, sausages and shoes (sorry, sandals)

yesterday i saw a rainbow. ahhhh, pretty. Yesterday, we had sausages for tea... nothing unusual about that.... except... 7 sausages in a pack! That's right, 7. Not 6 or 4, or even 5, but 7. Weird. Yesterday, (and every wednesday because i walk past the same shop), i saw an advert in the window of a surfy type clothes shop. An advert for shoes - shoes for men and women.... except they're not shoes, they're sandals. That's their slogan - 'they're not shoes, they're sandals'. Because sandals are better than shoes? Maybe it's different here but if a boy said he was wearing sandals, i'd laugh. And all i keep thinking of is a scenario where some poor kid is having the mickey taking out of his shoes and him saying 'noooo, they're not shoes, they're sandals', and then being bullied even more.
